Table Rock Lake 2013

Last week we took our annual vacation to Table Rock Lake in southern Missouri.  We were a little nervous for the drive down there (7 hours), as Caden is not liking the car seat at all these days!

The drive to Table Rock (Don't let that smile fool you! He wasn't this happy the whole time!)  Dad sat in back with Caders and entertained him.  He slept about 4 hours!

Aunt Katie thought it would be funny to wrap him like a burrito! This little man has hated being swaddled since he was 2 days old...but he thought it was pretty funny when Aunt Katie did it!

Although the weather wasn't so great, we had a fun week!  Caden got lots of time with Aunt Katie and Grandma and Grandpa!  Hard to believe next year he will be walking and talking when we go back!

Paternity leave

Last week, Matt had the whole week off for paternity leave.  He got to spend all day, every day with Caden do Mom could do LOTS of homework!  Here are some pictures showing how much fun they had:

Sooo Big!!

Today was Caden's two month birthday!! Wow- can't believe we had him two months ago! He already had his two month checkup about a week ago and got his shots (ouchie!) but today we went in just to get his weight.  Here is the stat (drum roll please)....

THIRTEEN POUNDS!  yes...13!  and 3 ounces!

He is such a big boy!  We have made a little progress in our night feedings too!  The last few days he has been going 3 hours between meals instead of 2.  Yay!  Mom is loving this extra sleep!

Aunt Katie visits us frequently.  She likes to pinch Caden's chubby cheeks!

He is still LOVING his baths!  He grew out of the newborn insert so now he is in the water more.  We get lots of smiles during bath time.

This weekend we are off to Minnesota to visit family!  This will be Caden's first big road trip!  I am nervous but really excited to see everyone!  I am sure we will have lots of pictures to share!

First Smile!

We had a pretty exciting moment today in the Yuska house!  Matt & I were putting Caden in his car seat to go to church and we were talking to him.  All of the sudden, he showed us a huge grin!  He kept doing it because we thought it was pretty funny.  He even chuckled a little bit!  I was able to catch the very end of it on camera!

He is changing so much!  Not only is he growing out of his 0-3

Visit from the Hudgens'

It has been a while since we have updated- time goes so fast now that we have Caden!  Especially since he is STILL eating every two hours! He likes his food! :)  We don't complain...he is growing really well!
This week we had some awesome visitors- the Hudgens' all the way from Albuquerque, New Mexico! Jim and Suzi are Amy's aunt and uncle.  They have three boys: Sam, Ethan, and Ben.  Not only did I get some good tips on raising boys, but we also went to Orange Leaf for some frozen yogurt and Red's for dinner!

(I swear he really does like Orange Leaf! :))
